Does BACTIF diagnose patients?

No. It ranks differential considerations from transparent, human-authored feature weights and shows exactly which inputs produced each output. Clinical diagnosis remains a clinician decision.

Is a generative model used to decide treatment?

No. Scoring and rule evaluation are deterministic. If an AI assistant is added later it will be restricted to retrieving and summarising approved database records with citations and source version identifiers, and it can never invent doses or override safety rules.

Why are no doses shown?

Dosing depends on renal and hepatic function, allergy, pregnancy, age, weight, interactions and local resistance. BACTIF links to the exact official page that owns each recommendation instead of restating a number out of context.

How current is the content?

Every record carries a publisher, document title, version, jurisdiction, accessed date and review due date. Content last reviewed 8 August 2026, next review due 31 December 2026. BACTIF does not claim exhaustive coverage or real-time currency.

How are updates handled?

Monthly update runs stage proposed source changes for human clinical review. Treatment content is never auto-published.

What about patient data?

Records are saved to your device first and, once you are online and signed in, to your own BACTIF account where only you can see them. You remain the data controller: use a lawful basis and consent, follow your institution's confidentiality and retention rules, and never enter military, defence or politically sensitive data.
